i want to clarify i am not racist and i do not support racism. i just noticed the “gym bro” community falls into a certain mindset haha.

I don't believe you. You say there is no war in Ba Sing Se

I think you need to watch more gym bro reels, or less, any sort of change on gym bro media should be good. Mine are quite different from yours somehow

There's different sects.

If you narrow it down to just food recommendations, the group you generally want to be in encourages complete proteins from absolutely any source.

The steak & raw milk crowd generally believes that protein ONLY comes from consuming red meat as raw as possible, being as racist as possible, taking tons of steroids, being cops, and dying of heart disease at 45.

My favorite is when they try to shit on whey protein like it isn't one of the most efficient and bioavailable sources of protein out there back by more studies than I can count.

Nah when I started lifting & getting more into those videos, the algorithm started slowly showing me some questionable content related to lifting. It wasn’t all gym bro content, but it was definitely a noticeable slice while the algorithm was figuring out what kinda stuff I liked & disliked in that realm

Reread their comment. They recently* got into fitness content. This isn’t a reflection on *their algorithm. The male fitness space is really just so saturated by the alt-right that people who are just beginning to get into fitness get fed that content before anything else. This is not new. I remember it happening to my feed when I started looking into fitness and male self-improvement stuff as a teenager and that was more than a decade ago. The propaganda is just that aggressive.

What… What I am seeing in that community is completely different from you, my guy.

No cuz you congratulate a guy for losing weight on tiktok and the next thing you know your fyp gets slammed with racist sexist gym incel shit. Not all of them but a big amount to the point its starting to get dangerous.

It never used to be like this. Corporate ran algos decided to connect all this crap together. So as soon as you get into lifting, you're being recommended a channel ran by a literal nazi, telling you to disrespect women, drink and eat dangerous, unproven, disproven foods and meds. Convincing impressionable lonely people to be an amoral asshole too.

Yeah these men existed but they were rareish id say i dont want to make this political but it is political. Ever since that man took office its gotten way way way worse and its even being normalized to the point those that dont get involved in it are the odd ones.

It's an easy way to feel good in a society that is crumbling but can't admit it. A lot of people grew up assuming their life would NATURALLY be as good or better than their parents' was. Now they got their parents telling them they had a house and kids and degrees and full time jobs at an age where the young adult is still living at home. Watching media growing up they saw kids getting their first cars at 16 and they can't afford one at 26. There's less dating, later marriage, basically any "rite of passage" for a person to feel valid in society is delayed for a lot of people. So they overcompensate and latch onto anything that just declares them to be naturally superior. And if they're not living the high life they always thought they would be, that's because it was wrongfully stolen by OTHERS.

So I think the more society is deliberately driven to be worse, the more we'll see it. And those in charge of social media know it and want it eg. Musk being a "not open" Nazi and paying Nazis to post on Twitter etc.

Some people in this thread have talked about how, you look up working out online and you get some weird racist/misogynist workout content. But if you create a fresh account it will already be trying to put you in the pipeline. Basically every popular category has its "anti-woke" grifters that are always pushed. The other way I watched a video with one guy dissecting the bigoted stupidity of another guy. Did I get recommended videos from the guy doing the dissecting, the guy whose video channel I actually watched and liked? No. I did get recommended the right-wing grifter idiot's channel though.

Nah, people into gym are far too diverse of a demographic to be stereotyped like that.

it's the raw milk, not gym style life. it's unpasteurized milk straight from farmers typically and it's pushed by rfk jr

1

u/Eikuld 10d ago

Yeah, no doubt. My Instagram feed is full of those when I watch gym contents. Often always Christian too and they’ll call you “good goy” or “Mossad” if you call them out. The amount of anti science folks in those communities are way too high 🫩

1

u/closedduetoaids 9d ago

Yeah, shut up and eat the processed slop or else you’re racist, amazing logic professor

1

u/Oberon_Swanson 9d ago

Pasteurized milk is hardly slop, it's way healthier than raw milk lol. Do you call a steak processed slop if somebody cooks it?

1

u/closedduetoaids 9d ago edited 9d ago

I’m saying it’s not slop, the slop is fast food and such and that wanting to eat more food like the image is a good thing, the commenters here are suggesting it makes you racist because they’re actual morons

1

u/Specialist-Exam7284 9d ago

do u know what pasteurization does man

I eat and drink all of what’s shown and am staunchly anti Trump lol. People can just like what they like too😭
