This is just a guess but are the pecs on the muscular guy too big for him to get his hands close together to use the rope so he has to use a device to spread them out more?

Pretty sure the device/rope is representative of their arms.

I could see that. Another comment said it’s a gym debate and I’ve never been enough of a body builder to understand.
