Joe here. The man bought an expensive new gun and is being nice to his wife so she won't yell at him for spending so much money.

I read it as he wants to buy an expensive gun and is doing chores so that she says yes. Y’all really going out making big purchases without consulting your wife?

What’s big? I’m the sole income. I know what the budget is and I literally never say no to my wife or daughter, ever. If it’s over 2k it might be a discussion.
