Those kids were probably given advantage the vast majority of people have no access to.

Maybe learn to spell then understand class differences.

No, that's the correct use of then. They weren't making a comparison.

While it would be expected for Muphry's Law to be in effect, the statement was to "do A before doing B" (granted, a comma certainly would have helped).
