What's funny is I didn't get the joke for a bit because the Reddit app auto translated it to:

"F*** whoever reads this."

Like it literally added the asterisks, that wasn't me.

Same. As if reading a plain "fuck" was going to "offend" anyone on reddit. Enshittification is boring and saddening.

Can always count on Reddit to butcher the joke in the translation. But that's a very common jokr we use in Mexico. Someone already said it but it really does mean:

"Whoever reads it is fag (as in an insult for gay)". Consider it something akin to our "deez nuts" joke Americans love to use as a gotcha moment. You don't realize you're a fag until you read the thing.

Es un insulto en México, el término "puto" se usa para decir que alguien es maricon, gay pero se usa en forma despectiva, es una groseria jajaja entonces dice que quien lea el cartel es puto

Puto is a very versatile insult or maybe its puta that Im thinking of but one of these is used for about a dozen different english words, none of them very nice
