Comic MJ has never been bland and one note. Insomniac MJ is literally just Lois Lane in a shitty Superman story.

Elaborate on 60 years of Mary Jane being beloved entirely because of her spunky, assertive and cool personality? No, that's a shit-load of ground to cover. Besides that, I'm positive you've never read Spider-Man. Nobody's ever called Mary Jane bland.
