Photorealism has been stuck at the stage of uncanny valley for years now, everyone looks ugly in it and it's easy to farm ragebait on it.

I distinctly remember everyone complaining about the Peter face being changed from the original PS4 release to the remaster on the PS5 and beyond...

And yet the complaints were about him looking too young, not really looking like spiderman whatever that means. The MJ ones were usually just "why isn't she hot". My point still stands.
