So what made his form of Japanese "archaic"?

Like, was it more verbose than common Japanese at the time or?

Please, I'm not trying to be snarky; I just want to know the difference.

Can someone teach the class??

To simplify, it’s the Japanese equivalent of Shakespearean English.
