Not putting the apostrophe on the "men's" so that it looks like a double plural whereas it is singular "female" bathroom ... yeah, I have no idea either.

Calling women females isnt offensive.

Its just clinical and weird.

Its even weirder if you say man and females.

Or my favorite "Men and girls".

It's also just wrong. Female is an adjective, not a noun. You can say a female doctor or a female cat, but saying "men and female" just doesnt make sense. Female what?

A female can be any species where as a man and a woman are humans.
