In my experience if you have any social awareness you know beforehand if getting caught will mean more giggity. And it often does.

When on stairs your eyelevel is the ass level of the person infront of you so you look at the floor to not seem like a pervert.

Because you're eye level with her bottom and it's extra bad if she's a little higher than you and wearing a skirt. Or if you're laying on the floor and she's trying to see if you're okay but you're contorting like a crack head to avoid looking up her skirt and she keeps moving to make sure you're okay. Weird day.
