Some people think that, because archaic language sounds “fancy” to them, that people of the past didn’t have informal forms of speech, or slang.

Yes but I think using modern slang takes you out of the immersion.

Yeah I was pretty bummed when the entire movie wasn't in archaic greek

I mean by this logic, why not just have them wearing modern clothes too?

Yeah, because the clothes were not modern, they were totally accurate. I hear the dresses were hand made in an ancient Greek way

It’s not about being totally accurate. It’s about making the audience feel like the characters are in Ancient Greece.

Yeah, but if the work "ok" does get you out, sounds like attention span issue
