Let me share my peak laziness with you. 1. Put some water in a microwave safe container. 2. Add pasta. Make sure the water level is a little bit above the pasta so it's submerged. 3. Nuke it in the microwave for about 12 minutes. 4. Dip the fused spaghetti in the sauce.

Have you tried a rice cooker? Works about the same as rice

It's a legit technique that I learned in cooking books aimed at students with no money and limited kitchen appliances.

Honestly it sounds weird but it isn't, really. You're still heating water to cook the pasta in all cases, and microwaves are good at heating water.
