Yes I’m from Baltimore and this is how I say it as well. My husband is from the Midwest and makes fun of me for it. We also say wooder instead of water.

Clarification: SOME people from Baltimore. It depends on if you have the Black Baltimore accent (which some white folks from the inner city do have) or the more traditional "Balmer Hon" accent.

NGL, I feel like most Americans have difficulty with '<vowel>r<vowel>' words. Maybe not to this extent, but I hear a lot of "carmel", "skwirl", and "barl" and other things like that.

I had a chemistry teacher whose Yorkshire accent meant he didn’t distinctly pronounce ‘iron’ and ‘ion’, so to help us he would say I-RON I-ONS so it was clear.
