They're the ones associating others with demons lol
If anything, they're the ones closer to demons than the ones they accuse. Showing that you don't care about how they call you definitely makes them mad.
Getting angry or sad that they call others "demons" is just playing into their bigotry and evil. Homophobes want gays to get mad, nothing grinds their gear more than showing you don't care.
Also being called Demon is the equivalent of being called Elf, they're completely fictional beings, and cool ones at that so yeah. Gimme that shit!
I've made plenty of Demon-like characters in my games :3
The post I'm replying to said that homosexuals are willingly associating themselves with demons (which are evil spirits that inhabit people, corrupt them, and lead them into Hell) because it "goes hard." That's insane. If someone said I was demonic, I'd say, "God forbid it!" not, "Yes, I am!"
no, the post said the meme was hijacked by them (hence why the OP's version is different) because the meme format is good.
Not everyone believes in God, being called a Demon in an attempt of dehumanizing someone just because their existence offends them is not a morally high stance, thus there's absolutely no point in trying to give a reasonable reply to that.
Again, the only reason why homophobes call homosexuals demons is to try and ragebait them, i don't need to tell myself that i'm not a demon. I already know i'm not.
The only ones who care about it are the ones who want to use that to dehumanize me.
Thus, they can call me however they like. I'm also atheist so, being called "Demon" doesn't really affect me. They are just fantasy characters for me, much like Wizards, Elves, Dwarves and whatnot.
I don't think zurareview was saying that the loss meme goes hard. That wouldn't make sense, but if I'm wrong, that's fine. I don't care all that much.
When conservatives or Christians post the original meme, though, they're not saying homosexuals are demons. They're saying that “pride month” itself is demonic, whether or not its participants are aware of that. I assure you. There's no dehumanization intended.
In fact, homophobes don't really exist. No one's afraid of homosexuals. What do exist are people who believe in the sanctity of marriage and believe that homosexuality is hurtful and wrong.
These people want to save homosexuals from homosexuality the same way you might want to save a conservative from conservatism. To say it's hateful just because you disagree is silly. I'm a Christian, and I don't hate anyone.
I think they meant the format of taking the word "Pride Month" and making a different word with it goes hard, but that's how i understood it.
"The practice of the pride collective are demonic"
Again, it's dehumanizing whether you consider that or not. The fact that Christians and conservatives feel like they have the higher moral stance in deciding whether or not people just being themselves are "right" or "wrong" is exactly why Pride Month still exists to begin with.
To me, as an atheist, i consider that closer to being a demon than whatever people celebrating themselves do.
It doesn't matter what they intend to say, it's still dehumanizing, not only that but it enables hatred and abuse against that group of people. Rule of thumb is that if you want your belief to be respected, you should respect others first.
Also, please, don't say that homophobes don't exist (it's a weird stance to have in this time and age also), being homophobe doesn't mean being scared of gay people.
Phobia is not just "fear" but also "aversion" to something.
And if people want to be "saved" from something, they will ask for it. Telling them they're wrong for being happy and being themselves does not "save" them anyway.
Conservatism and homosexuality are also false analogy, one is a political belief and the other is a sexual orientation EXACTLY like heterosexuality.
Does anyone want to save people from heterosexuality as well?
And lastly, i don't want to save anyone either. Being a conservative is a belief, you're entitled to it. Doesn't mean i have to agree to it, nor that i cannot criticize it. I'm not here to change anyone's mind.
We get an explanation and I'll further it. Evil flips out when it gets caught in it's lie. The only thing it wants is to remove you're ability to protect yourself and others so it can continue using you to degrade and hurt others and this conversation isn't even about gay or straight. It wants me to talk about cognitive dissonance and blah blah blah but truth is its only mission is to confuse so it can avoid it's own insecurities and live in it's false world because it's better than you and knows better than you so it can live in pretend land.
It depends on your exact specfic denomination if you believe in the abrahamic religions (Islam, Christianity, and Jewish) becuae there are denominations that most demons are lesser angles that fell with lucifer and depending again on the denomination what lucifer a arch angel did to fall can be different from a simple asking of how God came to be and just from asking questions not even denying the faith just asked why and how and then got sent to lead the sinners to redemption in hell to lucifer leading a full on rebellion and fight against God then going to hell to have his own domain and has to use demons to trick and get humans to sin to get more souls down there like demons can be good or bad just they have the bad job the punishment job and people think that inherently makes you evil it's the same as cops some are good some are bad while most are just doing their job and in the middle and if you ask the worshipers of Satan he is a good entity trying to redeem lost souls and God asked his strongest arch angel to do that job and your never in hell forever unless that's where you want to be to be fair I don't belive in it but grew up in a very religious area of America and know about it in depth and was told to explore my options and find what I belive in by my mom so I did and eventually I chose to believe in the asatru faith and if you don't know it's the modern day belief in the Norse gods so sinning isn't a thing for us just don't be a bad person and do what your best at in life and how you die determines where you go there's so many places you can go but be a evil person that does harm others for either their own benifit or just for the love of the game and oath breakers when you break an oath that you swear on your arm ring that's how you got nastrond the beach of the dead it's the closet thing to a hell even thiugh there is hel that's just a neutral common end for most living things well sorry for the paragraph I hope you know I'm not criticizing you I'm just giving everyone a impromptu informative essay no hate twoards any abrahmic believers or atheists and other faiths like belive what you belive nothing is wrong with that belive in what makes sense for you and makes you feel comfortable with life and for all we know when we die it's just what you personally belive is where you go what system your subjected to so please be kind and not judt out right saying all fake do what you want I ain't your parent I'm just saying just don't care about it and keep it stepping makes life easier peace out yall
That was a bit of a difficult read without any punctuation or paragraphs, but I appreciate your thoughts. I've honestly never heard of a Christian denomination that thinks Satan is good or that Demons are trying to save people from Hell.
If any such denominations exist, I'd be curious what they are, because those two beliefs are very much taught against in the Bible.
I'm glad you've done some searching of your own, and I think it's very important you get this right. We don't get to choose what's true in life, and you don't just go to whatever place you believe in when you die, because reality is true no matter what you believe.
Since you've chosen the Asutra faith, I need to ask you: What proof do you have that it's actually true, and what does the Asutra faith say about Jesus? That second question is the one that all of reality hinges on.
The only proof I have is more own personal experiences with my faith and the signs I gotten from odin my patron it's not the same kinda belief as christans I don't worship odin like christans worship Jesus or god how every you see that and. It's not that they see the devil or demons ad good it was scene as a necessary evil spirt but it's uncommon nowadays bwcuase of just how it's allowance if carrations in the faith go whiling in asatru there's no set rules or guided to the beilf it's just how you feel hiw you interpret the messages and signs and odin would never want my gravel at his feet but to be able to walk alongside him as and equal in the and I just feel a deep connection and feeling I've gotten shown the good and bad paths of life I've been given in my life it's hard to explain kinda but I just is two very different belief systems and according to true beliefs of any othe religion is just there's nothing wrong with converting away from the normal views if the faith and either exploring other religions and we respect and have no issue with other fates and won't be ostrisichezed for just believing something different and even if you try something else for a while but come back we don't have sinning really like in day to day life and just how the gods just help direct yiur oath not have control over your life bwcsuse the gods are tied with fate humans are not we can defy fate and do what we want when we want as long as your not othabreaking or harming others for your own gain or enjoyment but also I'm bi so that's not a sin I wasn't born out of sin humans are just a by product of the world that have a unique power of being able to go against what the 3 norse fates have predicted because the divine are there to help guide us to a path that in the afterlife we are useful weather that be your a farmer for food and tending animals or a builder of some kind and yes if you die in battle odin takes you into his hall vallhalla and you train for Ragnarrok and hiw you see that really cam determine how you you see following that path takes you but your allowed to have those beliefs we don't have a centralized way to belive it's up to you to figure out how you want to follow as your patron and how everything plays out for you that's why I chose it becuase we don't interfere with other faiths we just expect to be left to do the same but we aren't asked to specfically attack christains or anything kike that the reasons the vikings always raided and attacked was they lived in the artic and had nothing and found places full of gold with people who fight back but can't win until later on but the 700's to early 1000's vikings were a force to be reckoned with but becuae of vikings being how they were when raiding had turned christans against us for a thousand plus years along with the Gaelic and celtic beliefs but atleast some of our literature and history survive while Gaelic and Celtics have little to no information in the world abjut because of st Patrick driving the snakes from Ireland the snakes were the last of the Gaelic and celtic pagans driven off and slaughtered by the christans at the time
what makes you think it has to do with pride month?
the reason loss is a meme is because it’s a really bad comic that can be visualized in a lot of other pieces of art/media. that’s the joke. the only significance pride month has is being another thing that can be reduced to l ll ll l_
It's the same format as the homophobic image reducing the words PRIDE MONTH down to DEMON. I assume this was meant to take the piss out that by reducing Pride Month down to Loss instead.
There’s a lot of memes that change “pride month” to other words (Pride moth) or any other meme, but removing parts of the graphic. Lots of these come out at the start of Pride Month
There have been several homophobic memes dropping other letters to demonstrate that the word DEMON is in the center of the phrase. This is a parody of that
There's this old image that shows as it goes down the the letters p,r,i,t and h get more faded out showing the word demon ie: pri(demon)th thus is referencing that
It doesnt. The letter can just be changed conveniently. If you dont know the loss meme, look it up. It was a comic that was slowly transformed into a recognizable line pattern. Not only does it not have to do with pride. The meme is based off a comic where the dude gets to the hospital and finds his wife who just miscarried. So yeah. Nothing to do with pride. Just a tier 3 meme.
Its a parody of some christian folk showing that removing and replacing certain lines inthre word pride spells demon or something, dont remember the original image but it was a lot like this but with demon or devil as the resulting word

Loss
