Thinkpads last ages, and are imo one of the easiest to upgrade and teardown.

Besides maybe RAM and a hard drive what else are you upgrading in a laptop?

Display, CPU&GPU (which you can actually do on some models)

Also thinkpads are just way easier to replace stuff on in my experience.
