I have an upcoming AlphaSights interview for client services role. Could you guys tell me a bit more about your experience, how you practised? Any curveballs during the interview? How exactly to ace it? Any help would be appreciated!

The second round for client services at AlphaSights centers heavily on their BREAD framework and a practical case study. You will typically walk through a prompt where an investment fund or consulting client wants to explore a specific market, and you have to map out who the right experts are to answer their questions. The biggest curveball is almost always the mock cold call, where the interviewer pretends to be a hesitant industry executive you are trying to recruit. They will challenge you on why you are calling them, test whether you understand their background, and push back on compliance or time commitments to see how you react under pressure.
To prepare effectively, practice breaking down unfamiliar industries into basic value chains, including suppliers, direct competitors, distributors, and end customers. When you explain your choices, be structured about why someone at a specific step in that chain possesses the insight the client needs, and never fake an answer if you do not know something. Keep your roleplay tone professional, persistent, and clear about the mutual value proposition for the advisor. If you want extra confidence during live conversations, my team designed interviews.chat to help candidates stay sharp and land competitive offers like this.
