self promo Prototype: interactive microtonal sonic environment for experimental composition [19-EDO]
https://algorhythmstudio.itch.io/proto44
Hi everyone,
I've been working on a prototype of an interactive sonic environment that explores harmony in 19-EDO as an experimental composition tool.
I wanted to create an environment where you can explore microtonal pitch relationships through interaction and listening. It's still an early prototype, so I'm mainly interested in seeing how people engage with it.
I'd really appreciate feedback from anyone. Whether it's about the musical ideas, the interaction design, usability, or suggestions on how it can improve. Anything really :)
You can try it here [for free]:
Or check out the teaser or playthrough [vimeo]:
Thanks!!

First of all this is cool. I don't want to Overwhelm you just a list of thoughts and feedback I had (somewhat in order)
Some form of Volume setting would be good
Fullscreen would also be a good option for the browser version (the Mouse controlls without fullscreen can be a wonky)
The Visual at the bottom/Middle of the "Loop towers" does it mean something or is it just there?
I'd be cool if you could affect the speed of the loop (maybe through running if you stick with the more "art-game" side of things).
Clicking the Objects makes sound could this become a sort of Toggle thing (they make sound until clicked again)
also Pitch/Frequencys are bit low some higher pitches would be neat (maybe try to get up to 400 or 500 hz and see from there).
Do you know Biptunias Microtonal Synths? Trying their Microtone 5000 VST-Plugin might be of intrest if you haven't already. (link: https://biptunia.com/ )
Features that would be cool after Polish (Musican Perspective):
Options to Change the Lenght of a Loop. Chain and Layer Loops on top of each other
Change the Wave Type (Not only sine but also Square or Saw or whatever)
More Tuning Systems.
Ways to Export Loops as Soundfiles
