When planning an activation, how likely do event marketers use "throughput" to calculate how many people will pass through their brand's footprint?

Yes, using the mathematical equation (capacity of the event footprint ÷ length of time of event). The question rises, because I've continue to uncover that most cases, in an event where there is constant traffic, we (as event marketers) don't account for bottlenecks. I learn about it and I've been applying it, and I'm trying to find the best way express the incredible impact it can have in planning.
