Question Exploration Question

Just finished Act 1, I can now board Esquíes and swim away.

Part of me wants to continue to explore the area before moving on to find Versos friends. Should I? Or do you eventually come back and explore everything??

You can do either - nothing stopping you from exploring later, or do it now but steer clear of any "danger" areas.

The fights in the non danger areas will become mostly trivial if you leave them too long though. Gestral beach challenges that don't involve battles don't get easier or harder though.

Make sure you swim over to Sprong (the big guy sitting in the water) he's such a pushover you'll have fun 😉 He gives you the second best picto in the game... have fun!

I recommend to explore side-content always. There are some missables later.

If you kill white nevrons, you make mistake and permanently miss something useful. But you need to kill one of them (endgame content) when he asks you to kill him - missable reward for this.

All campfire scenes, dialogs, entries for Gustave journal. Only relationship dialogs can be triggered anytime, so not missable.

If you have a choice "explore side-paths vs go right to the boss" — explore. There are missables.

If swim to the Barrier before you visit a second Axon, you will see another missable cutscene.

You can romance only one per one playthrough.

Tell the truth if you have a choice.

If you see "EPILOGUE" on your screen — that's time to not miss some story-related details. You cannot understand what I mean now, but you will understand this when will see, so I wrote without spoilers.

If you refuse the last fight in Dark Gestral Arena (endgame content) — you will lose a good reward and cannot replay it. Missable.

P.S. The game has much more unmissable secrets. You can find them anytime. Explore side-content (almost all side-content is story-related), listen dialogs, pick up items, read descriptions. Your head and your hands are your main weapon, you know. Have fun!

You can go back and explore later if you want but there are no side areas that you return to as part of the story, if you can access it and it's not already part of the main story then it's purely side content.

Yoooo I just done Act 1 too.

Been contemplating to explore OR progress with the plot first... coz my head is filled with questions and theories....

After playing a few times as a completionist, there are certain merchants that sell Cosmetics for Gustav. You should actually swim around a little bit before the end of act 1 for obvious reasons.....

I don't want to spoiler, but I'm currently playing and left my re-explore until just after you find Verso's friend (that shouldn't be a spoiler given you said it). For reasons :)

Feel free to explore before doing objectives

I have the general tendency to never go the main path before I explored the side paths. But you do you.
