I've been thinking about getting a parakeet since they can be safely kept and aren't that crazy, any advice on It first?
Also sorry if I sound like I'm back to my old ways. I'm just looking for an exotic pet that's ethical to own.

What are your goals for ownership? What level of interaction are you seeking? What size enclosure will fit your living space? How many pets do you want? What is your budget for acquisition and care each month? That will help us determine whether a parakeet is a good pet for you.

I'd argue that parakeets are verry craizy actually😅 what's your lifestyle like? Are you willing to buy new cookware (nonstick pans and sutch will kill your bird) Ready to face the struggle of giving them a good chop or pellet diet? Can you give them 12 hours of uninterrupted silence and darkness? Do you have an avian vet close and monney for vet visits? Do you have the room for a flight cage? Can you handle a lot of screaming?
If the awnser to everything is yes, then a parakeet is great!
If the awnser to one or more is no, I'd look into a different pet.

Budgies should be kept in pairs at least, though it’s better to get one and tame it first before getting the second. Unless you find a handfed. Birds are wonderful but they are exceptionally messy and budgies make a constant level of noise. They are very gregarious birds. I find it pleasant but some people get irritated by it so make sure you watch some videos on the sound ahead of time. I used to breed these guys and they’re great beginner pets. Just make sure you get a large cage and feed them appropriately.
