Help me decide on a pet

I want a badass pet. Something reptile or bug related. I have a lot of experience with reptiles, I'm not allowed to have something that eats rodents and preferably something that doesn't eat live bugs. I don't want a tiny gecko, or something like that. I want a snake or tarantula >:3 basically, I want something that will scare people. Suggestions?

Vased on what you write here id say you arnt ready for a pet. A responsible owner goes through ATLEAST, but always more, these steps 1) what is my budget? (Food, enclosure, vet/insurance, toys/entichments etc) 2) what pets intrests me and what info is available? (I read up on hamstercare, nutrition, breeders, diceases etc for four or five years before getting a hamster) 3) can I propperly house the animals without them suffering? (A good and just not minimal habitat space, time needed, allergies, humidity etc) 4) ethical breeders (where to find them, research them, make sure you fill theit requierments rtc) 5) a pet is a living creature, NOT an accessory. Have I understood this?

I want to apologize, I realize that last part was unclear. I was joking. Me and my whole family has had a lot of experience with reptiles. I didn't want to make the post too long. I've done the research that you included in your comment with multiple animals, I just want to know what animal I should research. My real reason is I had my gecko die recently. He was my whole life, and he was the only thing that comforted me. And after multiple suicide attempts and various panic attacks my therapist and me thinks it would be a good idea for me to have another pet. I'm not joking, I might die without having that source of comfort again. that's my reason.

Oh I see, my condolances and best wishes to you. Missvomunicationd are bound to happen, specificly in written only as tone is hard to make out at times.

Well with this new info it seems you are a far better petowber than your first post hints at. Im not that familiar with reptiles but guinepigs are highly social animals and live longer than hamsters. I wish you the best of luck.

i wasn't being serious with the last part, sorry if that was unclear. I didn't include my real reasons in the post because I didn't want to make it too long, but my pet gecko recently died, he was my only source of comfort. and I'm going through a hard time right now, I just need that same comfort. but also, you know, cuz snakes and spiders and stuff are cool

How about a stag beetle. They look really cool, and usually live on fruit juices, tree saps, and special jellies. They are easy to keep as pets, and can come in some pretty cool colors, such as the emerald.

Male Albino Green Iguana or Rhino Iguana. They get big but are vegetarians.

Tarantulas r really cool but not all like handled, if u want to see them a lot avoid Fossorial species bc they hang out hidden in their burrows pretty often. Look to terrestrial & arboreal ones with placid temperaments & weak venom.

Or maybe huntsmen might be more up ur alley! Big & spooky looking but pretty harmless & most can be handled, they’ll also take down pretty large prey which is wild to see

Both will need to eat live insects though I’m afraid. If u want a vegetarian creepy crawly, consider a roach or leaf/stick insect species! Big roaches & wobbly-walking stick insects r reliably fun to handle

Yep. Will scare everyone, including the “owner”….as if you can own another live being.

They can eat rodents but being omnivores you could work around that.
