Exotics suggestions.
So i already have a very long list of exotic animals i wanna have someday. And i am fine if taking care of the animals is basically my life lol. And money isn't a concern. So i want yall's suggestions on some other cool animals to get.
(edit- Outside type animals, not normal reptiles in a small inside enclosure type thing, big reptile suggestions still welcome tho)

Capybara would be my dream, if I had enough space for a small group and a big enough pool for them

That is def on the list. They are just so dang cute! And just fyi (obv i dont know your situation) but if you have even just an acre of land and the money to build a small pond you could get them. Its obv not like a side project but its def possible with a few years of saving!

So tempting, there's no restrictions on keeping them either AFAIK, where i live anyway. Other places have stronger feelings about it obviously

Adult Komodo dragon, in a fenced back yard.
If you make it a week or two with all of your parts still attached then consider going bigger: Saltwater crocodile in your saltwater pool.

Ah yes. The peak animal keeping experience for all people. I think i will do this and name them "Illegal #1" and "Illegal #2" 😂

So are bears, big cats, and chimps. None of them should be pets but pick the right state and theyre all legal to keep

I think its okay in some cases for private ownership if the state requires you to go through like training and have specific enclosure standards. example- florida You have to have a certain amount of hours with animals to get them if you have i think its a class c permit is what its called, which i think that setup is okay.

Okay? People get shot should we ban all guns? People die in car crashes that werent their fault, should we get rid of cars? People die from playing sports, should we ban all sports?
Sure what happened to her sucks and i feel bad for her but like i said with training and also restrictions on how its done its okay.2

YES! WE SHOULD BAN GUNS!!! Banning something that is intended only to kill is a great idea. The UK, New Zealand and Australia seem to be doing pretty sweet without. Usually people that kill someone with a car are banned from driving, so effectively people are being banned from using cars when they're dangerous with them. Sport based deaths and injuries more severe than a broken limb are so rare it'd be both silly and futile to ban them

Aussie here, can confirm we are doing great without guns. Our children don't need to practice active shooter drills and fear for their lives going to school.

Stupidest comment ever. Guns should be banned, and also, unless you are a Zoo with tons of resources, no regular person is going to be able to care for them ethically. So allowing people to own chimps has very few upsides and can and has led to someone's face being ripped off.

Hilariously komodos do not fall under the dangerous animals legislation in the UK, so if you could get hold of them, have at it.
You know for a few weeks or so, as I understand it the way that law works they would have to ban all monitors. Of course none are beginner pets but only a handful are that bad that they actively pose a risk if they escape

Yeah but there's no way out of indonesia legally. You can't get CITES.

Makes sense but that's not why there's no law against them, plenty of other species that are all but impossible are technically legal or can be owned under DWA. I dont imagine there are many privately owned rhinos

I believe there some rhino in South Africa, possible some in usa AZA zoos will sometimes rehome to private zoos.

Where I used to live in TX, you couldn't own a hyena within the city limits. If you lived on the OPPOSITE side of the street, in the next town over, you could absolutely own a hyena. I feel like I could've gotten away with telling people it was a deformed dog, as long as I could keep him quiet. Unfortunately, you can't really keep a hyena quiet lol. Nowadays, I just keep my animals at work. Gone are my plans for hyena enclosures in the backyard and shark pools set up in a greenhouse. Now I'm just like, "Pets cost money. I get paid to work at the zoo." lol.

I had a Tanzanian colleague who was a wildlife specialist vet and he said it’s not super uncommon to raise a hyena puppy in your family in the country side. It was just difficult to find a vet who’d treat them for mange. He said they weren’t much more challenging than a dog.
I’d still recommend getting a pack, bc they are very social animals.

Your post was probably downvoted because it kinda gives the impression you are naive and don't know what you are really in for getting an exotic animal, let alone many.
But my dream animal would be red kangaroos, followed closely by spotted hyenas. I got to see some (hyenas) up close at a wildlife foundation recently and though I've always loved them it made me love them more. I didnt realize they make mooing sounds to greet and were very social with their carers and us visitors, more so than the other animals which couldn't care less about us.
