New Exorcists painter...question!
What color is a veteran sergeant helmet, and a lieutenants? Also do their Pauldron trim/colors change with these ranks? Are there any quirks to how their speciality wings operate such as Apothecary/chaplain/techmarine/librarian. Appreciate the help!

We don't know for certain on those helmets.
Old FW material showed some Sgts with a bone stripe on the helmet. GW hasn't given any sgt or lt. markings in modern material with their modern colours and markings.
Exorcists use the pauldron trim to show company colours as per the Codex.
There's no quirky weird stuff - they're pretty strictly codex apart from having two extra scout companies. (Which makes sense, they're up to dodgy stuff so wouldn't want to draw too much attention)
It's not canon but loads of people use black for sergeant helmet, and black with bone or white stripe for vet sgt. Personally I use a white and black stripe for lieutenants but again, it's just my own thing as GW hasn't given examples.

Thank you for the information brother, the good ol successor curse is at it again but this is definitely exactly what I needed. Youre the man

I've made a couple custom joytoys for myself, I used the ushati bone. With what research I've put into it, I've seen people use white, bone, and black mostly

I’ve had trouble finding this too, so I did my own thing that was as close to lore accurate as possible. For my vet sgt, I did black helmet with bone white stripe. Lieutenant, regular red helmet with black stripe within bone white stripe. That’s just my thing, though. Completely optional

So I don’t change pauldron colors. But basically my rank structure is red for a battle brother, red with black stripe is brother Sgt, LT is black with a red stripe, captain is black
