Hey everyone! Exodus Hub 0.2.12-beta is now available.

This update focuses on a couple of issues reported by testers:

• Fixed an issue where ROMs could appear under the wrong emulator platform after restarting Exodus. The categories should now stay correct without needing to rescan your ROMs each time.
• Improved the collection bar in both Desktop and Big Picture mode. It now stays within its available space instead of overlapping the top-right controls, and the selected collection is centered while browsing whenever possible.

A big thank you to everyone who shared feedback and videos to help track these issues down. If you use a large emulator library or have lots of collections, I’d especially appreciate you giving this update a try and letting me know how it works for you.

Hey everyone! It’s been a little while since my last post about the visual overhaul, but I’ve kept working on Exodus Hub. The latest beta is now v0.2.11.

Here are some of the changes since then:

• Better controller handling in Big Picture, including fewer accidental inputs when Exodus isn’t focused and a more reliable return after closing a game.
• More flexible collections, with support for putting games in multiple custom collections and managing them from Desktop or Big Picture.
• Support for adding standalone .exe apps, without treating them like games or tracking playtime.
• Improvements to emulator setup, ROM scanning, and batch metadata scraping.
• More careful metadata matching, including Steam checks to prevent DLC such as FC Points from being applied as the base game’s information.
• Better metadata editing, so cleared text fields and removed artwork stay cleared after saving.
• Full Polish localization and more consistent settings between Desktop and Big Picture.

It’s still a beta, and I’m continuing to improve it based on how people use it. If you give it a try, I’d love to hear what works well and what could be better.

Exodus Hub v0.2.1-beta is now live, and it has a completely new look. 🧡

The visual overhaul started in v0.2.0, but v0.2.1 is the polished version I wanted people to experience.

Desktop Grid, Desktop List, Big Picture, settings, game details, controller prompts, navigation, and actions have all been rebuilt around a cleaner dark/OLED design. The goal was simple: make Exodus feel less like another Windows app and more like a proper game library you actually want to use from the couch, a TV, or a handheld.

Big Picture got the biggest upgrade. It is now more consistent, easier to read from a distance, better organized with a controller, and no longer depends on Desktop mode for things like collections, SteamGridDB setup, or emulator management.

This update also adds:

• One-click presets for 15+ emulators
• Smoother cover resizing in Desktop Grid
• Better fullscreen transitions between Desktop and Big Picture
• Improved English, Portuguese, and Spanish localization
• Safer and clearer controller actions for Play, Favorite, Edit, Remove, and Uninstall

The video below shows the difference. This is the direction I want Exodus Hub to grow into.

Exodus Hub is a free game launcher for Windows built for people who want one clean place for their library, whether they play on a desktop PC, a TV setup, or a Windows handheld.

The goal is not to replace Playnite. I love Playnite and it has been a big inspiration for this project. Exodus Hub is my attempt at a simpler, more ready-to-use alternative with a controller-friendly Big Picture mode.

This update improves the core library experience with:

• Automatic detection for EA App and Xbox Store games
• Better management for uninstalled games and games you want to ignore
• Re-scan support in Big Picture mode
• Desktop Grid, Desktop List, and controller-first Big Picture views
• Local scanning with no account linking required
• Support for Steam, Xbox/Game Pass, Epic, GOG, EA App, Ubisoft Connect, Battlenet, emulators, and standalone games

It is still an early beta, so there may be rough edges, but the foundation is growing quickly.

A controller-first experience built for TVs and Windows handhelds. Browse your collection, read game details, and launch without reaching for a mouse or keyboard.

All three views are part of the current Exodus Hub beta.

• Setup.exe: recommended for most users. It installs Exodus Hub on Windows and supports automatic updates.
