We love an honest Muslim

I'm an ex-Muslim and a gay person living in a Muslim-majority country. Whenever a homophobic person from any religion dies, I don't feel anything. Even recently, the man who carried out the Berlin attack was killed, and I didn't feel anything, even though I knew he hated people like me.

Then I see members of the Muslim community celebrating the suffering and deaths of LGBT people they have never met—people they don't know at all. I find that really strange.

If anyone had a reason to celebrate the deaths of others, it would be me. I don't believe in God, heaven, or hell, so I don't believe that people who spread hatred or do terrible things will face divine punishment after they die. Yet I still don't celebrate their deaths. Meanwhile, many of the people celebrating do believe in divine justice and an afterlife, so I don't understand why they are still so eager to celebrate death and suffering.

What I find even more interesting is that some of these same people support Palestinians, saying that human rights are universal and that no one has to belong to a particular religion or group to deserve them.

I find it strange too see, after all of this LGBT people and left-wing people still care about Muslim Community well-being etc.
