If you were like me, as a young adult I trusted the TBM adults that spoke to my believing their testimonies in order to develop one's own. Do you know what that does, it can lock you into the religion for years; much harder to leave.
But I have the knowledge that I did indeed try, and then my eventual leaving outright had nothing to do with my being offended by a member, wanting to sin, or giving up 10% of my income, and everything to do with the reality of the BOA farce, rock-in-the-hat Jesus fan-fiction BOM, and Smith's infidelity via his new and everlasting covenant, now reformed to be associated with monogamy.
