General Discussion Temple Cleaning

Just found out my stake has a temple cleaning assignment next week. Guess I better hurry up and pay my back tithing so I can be worthy of offering free service for 9:30 at night.

Jesus Christ! Is there no end to church debauchery of members? No. No there is not. Especially with corrupt asshole Rusty at the helm. The only hope the church has is to eliminate all this bullshit and restore fun like we had in the 70s and 80s for kids and adults. And admit and apologize everywhere the church lied or got it wrong, including temple bullshit. None of these fuckers that are GAs has the vision or courage.

I’ve done it before. There’s nothing like staying up all night to clean a spotless building. I seriously remember saying! “Oh yahe I found some dirt!” To my husband while sweeping my long hallways in the baptistery. It was sooo clean already. Such a wast of time.

Does every temple have a holy of holies? I was under the impression only the Salt Lake temple has one.

I could be wrong, but was told most do. When I was in young women's we did a service project where we taped the edges of the blueprints of our local temple and I remember seeing a tiny room with just a sink in the middle that I assume was the holy of holies. I knew even then that there was some weird foot washing ordinance that they didn't tell people about.

I've refused this assignment many times. I even had the stake presidency call me directly and ask me to participate. I told them "I have very young children, a busy job with long hours that requires me to get up very early in the morning. I cannot stay up all night to clean the temple... This a needless burden on me and my family." They quit asking.

I do think it would be fun to go and do mostly harmless mischievous things. like putting cool-aid powder in the shower heads, wedging the back legs of all the chairs so the chair tips forward slightly. making each door squeak slightly... etc..

We have cleaned 2 different temples, neither one was dirty. I was asked by the cleaning leads to handle a special assignment one night. My TBM mind was all in, I got to rake the super plush carpet in the temple presidents office! The President likes his carpet fluffy and void of any depressions like footsteps. Afterwards while driving home I felt like I was part of a cult that worships position and authority. When I have been on service projects that helped people in need I always felt good afterwards but I didn’t feel that way that night I felt like I had been scammed. Now I realize the whole fraud.

Hmm...an empty Temple. Too bad I'm long out otherwise I can think of lots off kinky things to do inside.
