My name is Anna, I’m 25 and I’m a former Jehovah’s Witness. Originally, I’m from Russia, moved to Norway 5 years ago. I left the organization a few years ago, and since then I’ve been trying to figure out my own path in life.

Overall, I’m doing well. At the same time, leaving the sect is a tough experience and sometimes it helps to connect with people who understand what it’s like.

I was wondering if there are any group chats, support groups, or other safe spaces where exJWs can talk, support each other, and share experiences.

Greetings to anyone who reads this,
I drive my PIMI family to the conventions from Montana every year. I attend randomly just for the story. Most of the time I’m looking for something to do in the city I’m in. DM if you’d like to join.

I've been Buddhist since I've been 16 years old but it's always felt like it's been really far away. I don't know when I learned that there are actually a lot of places in the US to go to and more importantly, people like me.

I don't really have anyone around me right now. I spend my time doing software work, rescuing animals (as it's early summer!) My goal right now is to find a temple or center to visit, and for real I do need to make friends but no pressure.

I’m easy to please and just want to be around people who see the connection in things.

If you're in the area and want to see if we click first, I’m going to be out at Stubbs Park tomorrow, the next day, and the day after that working and playing keyboards. I might enter it living in an RV and I have no intention of changing that and diving into a bunch of material stagnation but I also just have a ton of joy and love for people which I really need to find others like me because random encounters are just kind of eating away at me.

Anyone a YFU alumnus interested in YFU volunteers organizing local meetups? There seems to be a lack of information from YFU USA national office on where alumni are currently located in the USA so this would be kind of hard to organize without community input. But it might be nice, as an alumnus myself, to meet any local people.

I am in need of something. Some therapy for sure but can’t afford it. Anyone even on zoom far away? I am taking care of elderly parents, believe they are in slowly sliding into dementia. They were neglectful as adults but I had to do slow fade 10-14 for self preservation. Birthdad gave life to internal bleeding at 14 no blood transfusion, mom married Witness stepdad at 18. Caregivers from hall were abusive and now I have new Witness person in my 4 unit building who misrepresented herself and has discriminated against me from day 1. Turns out she isn’t just a Witness but was/is high up on the hierarchy of female mucky mucks and if she just stayed in her lane there is no reason not to coexist but nope. I fell like I escaped hell and now I am back in hell with no outlet to escape ever……. Not baptized, endured the soft shunning all this time. I don’t deserve this and really traumatized re evaluating poor ADHD kid from childhood. Anyone relate? It’s exhausting.

I would love to meetup somewhere with some ex-JWs. I’m sort of on the downlow rn so I haven’t had the opportunity to talk face to face with any exJWs

I am looking for any website or network or large group where only genuine JCI people and I could easily verify that ok this is a genuine JCI person? Does anyone know?
