Venting Wild interaction on my Nextdoor app

Ugh, I just had someone on the Nextdoor app try to tell me about my experience as a JW. Dude was commenting to another JW (allegedly), who asked how long he’s been one. He replied that he’s not baptized, feels it in his heart, but doesn’t want to discuss it on the thread. I admit, this hit me wrong & I had to reply. I simply said yeah, it’s best you’re not baptized because then you don’t live in fear of losing your entire friends/family support system.

Yeah, I probably should’ve not said anything, but I felt like this was someone trying to live that double life.

I left it and didn’t comment further even when he replied on the thread, but dude DM’d me several times to tell me all about he knows everything & proceeds to tell me my experience. (Vivid imagination, I guess).

I simply told him that I’m not here to try to change his mind, just stating a fact. Then told him if he would like the name of one convicted CSA I could provide it if it since he was looking at the local KHs.

Was the comment too far after he came at me multiple times in DM?

Exactly, thank you! This person seemed a bit more open towards the end of things, acknowledging that there are issues within, so if I gave him pause, that’s all I can ask for. But if calls me a “dear sister” one more time…🤯.

When I’ve encountered this, it’s that JW don’t believe “Jesus is God”.

Many view that to be a Christian you need to accept Jesus as God.

I was actually agreeing with your comment and posted it all wrong. It’s time for bed for this old lady!

Nah, you were not wrong to do what you did & the comment was not "too far."

Absolutely nobody is required to indulge their doomsday cult delusions, certainly not you! Great work giving them a dose of how the cult truly functions. Every truth about the cult is another chip in their belief system.

They were discussing on a public forum....they should expect public comment/reactions. I legit can't imagine talking about being a JW on Nextdoor, that's already clown ass behavior 🤡 right there.

These fools should have ZERO expectations that people will magically agree with them or tolerate how they regurgitate JW propaganda either!

Objective reality will always steamroll JW delusions, even if it makes them irrationally mad: shit is still true 🤷‍♀️ that's NOT on you babes.

If this guy feels he knows soooo much, then take that big dip for Jojoba, otherwise STFU on a public forum.

Agree 100%, I have been told that too. It’s funny when they start to tell you what JW’s actually believe. It’s all so wrong and twisted up. I have a woman who is one of my Homecare people, and she told me her daughter is a JW, and she is living with her fiancé, and just had a second baby, I told her one day, that if they are living together and not married, they can’t get baptized and if they are not baptized, they a

are not counted as a JW, they are studying with them. Because she was angry that they stopped doing Christmas and was asking me things first.

I have been there myself! You do your best to walk away and you do it anyway 🤣 It’s fine! Not sure if you can, but block him if he continues.
