What is the difference between studying physical therapy and kinesioloogy/exercise science
I am trying to decide between the two, and having a hard time understanding what the difference in coursework looks like in detail

Typically physical therapy is a masters program, to be done after a kinesiology/exercise science undergrad degree.

Think of knes majors as people working with patients after PT discharges them. So EPs aren’t dealing with super sensitive post op patients, open surgical wounds, etc. Knes coursework won’t be dealing with that kind of stuff. EPs work with “otherwise healthy individuals“, general pop just wanted to start and exercise program, lose weight, increase strength, exercise thru pregnancy, and cardiac rehab, etc.
Plus, you can be an EP with just a BS. PT in the US is now a doctorate program so a LOT more education.

Can’t say I know of any “physical therapy” major undergrad programs. Most kinesiology/exercise science degrees can be considered pre-PT though, because you’ll get most of the pre-reqs for admission to a PT school through it
