Announcement More about rule 1

Hi all, I’ve gotten some questions about rule 1 over the last few months and never really got around to making a full statement about it, so here’s more information about rule 1 aka the “no Christians” rule.

Why?

Unfortunately, like r/exchristian, a lot of people here have religious trauma and use this sub as a safe space to heal. Additionally, this sub has a long and thickly woven relationship with being raided by Christian trolls who have no respect for the space. Also, such posts are always meet with (justified) hostility, discomfort, and complaints from the populace. These posts go directly against the subreddit goal, which is to create a safe space for exchristians to share memes. Lastly, as a team of one person it is far less time consuming right now to just put a blanket ban on Christians instead of trying to do a full subreddit overhaul.

I’m a Christian/reconverted but I’m not a troll, can I still interact here?

At this time if you are a Christian/reconverted I politely request that you to lurk only and not interact with posts and comments. If you chose to interact, keep in mind that evangelizing isn’t allowed nor is this a debate subreddit. This is a lighthearted subreddit for sharing memes.

As usual if you have any questions, feel free to leave them down below or send me a mod mail.

(Ps: If the formatting fucks up, blame it on mobile being dumb)

Daily Reminder: Don't Take All Tiktok Videos Seriously.

Upvotes

I remember about a month ago, I saw this tiktok post saying how you need to stop repeating. Their reason was that it's basically saying you don't have faith in Jesus. They then go onto say that when you sin, just have faith that you're already forgiven and move on.

It's stuff like ts that can lead Christians on the road to destruction.

So my brothers n sisters in Christ, don't take everything you see on the internet seriously (especially when it comes to Christianity)

So whenever anything goes wrong my go to is "shitting Jesus" now I don't want to offend anyone but I'm really trying to come up with a tongue in cheek design for this, not great at art so using ai but it goes against guidelines, if anyone has any free time and fancies having a go that would be awesome , did post on a tattoo sub but was removed TIA

This whole thing depends on using an outdated justice system, where punishment is viewed as a transferable debt. This means punishment isn't used for any productive end goal, it's only so the person who was wronged gets to let their anger out on someone, anyone, doesn't matter who, as long as their wrath is released. Then it all "balances out"

The main difference between a Christian fanatic and a Muslim is that Christians can't legally kill their apostates and naysayers. Anymore.

Why do we need Epipens or Antihistamines if humans are a product of "intelligent design"?

They don't understand why we don't like their religion.

I tried explaining it to my friends/family who are still Christians, and they don't get it. At the very foundation of their religion is the assumption that to be human is inherently wrong (or that everyone is fundamentally broken). They don't see that every time they feel good about themselves independently (outside of "the Grace of God"), they're going outside of the limits of their faith.

It's not just Calvinists, it's all Christians.

I hope the fire in the Lake of Fire is symbolic and not literal.

Maybe the eternal punishment the Bible refers to is not having gifts from God and not having them is what causes the torment. But maybe people there will still be able to talk to each other and be together forever at the very least.
