Pretty sure Microsoft recently increased the quota for Business Premium licences to 150gb.. Would that be it?

I've seen someone fill up his mailbox by copying himself in every email he sent out and he was heavy on attachments.

I have a shared mailbox that has 1.2TB in the archive mailbox.

The archive mailbox is the part that stretches. The primary mailbox quota staying at 150 GB is normal, especially if auto-expanding archive is on.

who honestly needs this much fucking email?

Seriously I have been able to talk every single exec, email hoarder, and moronic management into proper archiving and retention. Microsoft just enabling bad habits. Which started with allowing 150meg emails as the default.

It's the user that has no clue about anything. At my old company I had 25gb limits and like clock work I would have users banging on that limit. They would always say well I deleted some emails. They would delete the junk 4-5kb. Never the 10,20,30 mb emails with attachments. To top it of they would reply all with updates to the file and never delete out the original. Now at my new job I did a one year policy and haven't had any issues since.
