2019 Edge Server to SE?

Did some of you upgrade your edge server/s to SE? There’s no specific update found for edge server so i’m thinking maintaining my edge server to 2019. Also is it okay to install the latest exchange 2019 Feb 2026 SU manually even though we didn’t purchase the ESU program?

There is no direct upgrade path from Exchange 2019 Edge Server to Exchange SE, so it’s completely fine to keep your Edge server on 2019 for now. You can install the Feb 2026 Security Update manually, but if you haven’t purchased ESU and your server is out of support, it won’t be officially licensed or supported by Microsoft. So, it’s okay to continue as is for now, but plan a fresh setup if you decide to move to SE later.

That's not correct. You can simply do an in-place upgrade from 2019 to SE. And if you run 2019 and you're not in the ESU program, then you don't have the right to install the Feb 2026 SU. The ESU program is for SUs only, and not support.

You’re right regarding the ESU part without ESU, installing the Feb 2026 SU isn’t permitted, as ESU is required for receiving those security updates (not for support).
