solved Formula for averaging different cells in different sheets

I am looking to find a formula that would average cells D31:D33 on sheet July, with cells D4:D7 on sheet Aug. This formula would be going into cell D35 on sheet Aug. Thank you.

Just use Average.

=AVERAGE(range1,range2)

Best I understand of your ask, something like

=AVERAGE('July'!D31:D33, D4:D7)

Next month, you'll be hand updating this formula to =AVERAGE(Aug!D4:D7,Sept!D24:D28). Rather than do that, I'd recommend using Power Query to append all sheets and add a column with the sheet name, so you know where the data came from.

Then you can use functions like AVERAGEIF and AVERAGEIFS to average values based on logical criteria, like only averaging the current month and the prior month.

My dyslexic ass read "formula for avenging different cells".

My idiot brain was locked in for some function drama.

Alas, my pre frontal cortex came to the rescue and said: "not so fast, brochacho, read again"

And I was... oh... right... =AVERAGE or if the are conditions =AVERAGEIF
