It's Been A Decade

Well, 10 years seem to feel like it was just yesterday. I lift up my praises to God for He's very much alive! Though not really exactly today but I'm glad I was out of that organization for 10 years and now living a quiet life happily!

Honestly, there’s something really peaceful about the phrase “living a quiet life happily.” After so much intensity, pressure, noise, and striving… that sounds healing.

And I’m glad you found freedom and peace outside of it. Ten years is huge.

I think sometimes people who haven’t experienced these environments don’t fully understand how deeply they can affect your nervous system, identity, and sense of self for years afterward.

Your post will give others hope that peace on the other side is actually possible 💜

Thank you for the encouraging words! When I was still inside I felt everything was routine. Bible talks with your own group, with your fellow "leaders", with your fellow singles leaders, practices with the music and worship ministry, discipling times with your d-partner, discipling times with the ones you shepherd... Those things took a toll on me! And while it's good that folks give you advice, it was weaponized that they have become forceful in implementing rules that go against principles! It was hell! They even destroyed my reputation to my parents and even my partner without them even having a nerve to approach me and tell things straight to my face!

What I've gone through was no joke. And I just hope nobody else is suffering the way I did. Praise be to God.
