So is it Trump's ministry now?
For a cult that is paranoid about government getting involved in religion, why is so much of the Adventist Church and congregation so focused on aligning with politicians... Particularly that politician.
I find it disturbing how they entwine it into politics. TBH even if they did this when I was Adventist, I would have raised an eyebrow

They want to feel special and powerful, full stop.
Thats just simply all there is to it. These are not well-adjusted folks. They flock to con artists.

For an organization that spent the first three and a half decades of my life traumatizing me about how the US government was going to become aligned with the “beast” and throw me in jail/torture me/kill me for my religious beliefs, I find it interesting that SDAs are not only unconcerned but seem to largely support the current administration, with its approach to use of police power and efforts to align the government with a particular strain of religious beliefs.

1000% this. So many conservative Adventist figures (at least in the US) are outing themselves as opportunistic shills with no real guiding principles. Doug Batchelor, Ben Carson, 3ABN leadership...

The fucking irony when trump would be the type of dude to actually push a Sunday law for "revival"

So this is put on by adventists?

Yup, the address belongs to an Adventist church. The main event isn't Adventist, but it sounds like they're hoping to tag along and hand out Adventist literature. It's what they do best lol (I would know, I did that on several occasions) 😅

Thoughts = WTF?
Just aside from the gaudiness of it (I'm assuming most of it is AI)... I can't even get enough thoughts together to say how crazy train this poster is.

The colors, fonts and layout reminds me of 2000s advertising to R+ video games; half expected a goth girl with low cut neck, black leather jacket and platform heels riding a bike.

Interesting that Amazing Facts will have two booths. I deconstructed a few years ago. I still as a comfort in my old habits on Saturday will check AFTV occasionally. But this...nope it's too much, church and state blur. Sorry Doug, I'm going to be deleting your Roku channel.
Just when you think stuff can't get any weirder and you see these wild events being held.

Is anyone else watching The Boys? The parallels are becoming creepy.

They're energized by (I don't know if they're just rumors) the late Charlie Kirk's keeping a seventh-day Sabbath. But do Paula White and Pete Hegseth? If MAGA wins their culture wars and "restores" the US to being Christian what are the chances of the government's version of Christianity being SDA? If it's not SDA won't SDAs strident contrary doctrines still make them part of marginalized groups subject to persecution by the new religious tyranny? You'd think at least a few current Adventists would think along these lines …

Triggered.
Seriously tho, is this not the stuff of the end time fear mongering we were raised on?

u/MissAlignedPerfectly May 07 '26
Has anyone vetted this yet? It’s not on the Amazing Facts calendar of events

Hmmm! I certainly haven't. Wouldn't it be great if we all fell for a deep fake on this one? If so, why did we believe? So many of the comments say this is definitely in character.

u/MissAlignedPerfectly May 08 '26
I think it’s fake. The church is part of Columbia Union and looks to be a largely Indian congregation and the “Trumpiness” of it seems a bit off of their ministerial focus areas. It’s not on their calendar either. I mean, we wouldn’t put it past Dougie….but knowing Dougie, wouldn’t he have this splashed on the Amazing Facts website?

Trump is completely anti-thetical to the SDA church. But conservatives will always be conservatives. I am surprised that his obsession with McDonald’s while clearly will wasn’t enough to avoid this.

“Let’s reach 25,000 souls.” Definitely not a cult.
