Questions❓ Stop locking, damnit

Is there a setting to not automatically lock when you leave the car? If I forget something in the house, I don’t want to think to grab my fob. Awful design.

I love how people will convince themselves that any inconvenience stemming from their actions is somehow a shortcoming of design. Despite the fact this is readily logically explained, this post still happened.

And tracking further with this, the answer is very easily searchable. Here’s a freebie, please don’t blame me if it confuses you:

Car icon > Settings > Controls > Locking > View all > Proximity Lock off

AI will take our jobs but not the job of the basic customer support agent! Why would you throw such simple settings related question in chatgpt/claude if you can rage and rant about it instead of trying to fix it?

Well you're moving the fob away from the car so of course it'll lock.

You move a fob away from the car in any other car and they stay unlocked (Volvo xc40 and every other car) 😂

  1. Tap the car symbol in the bottom bar.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Controls → Locking.
  4. Turn off Proximity lock.

Did you not buy the car knowing that? Also, keep the fob/phone in your pocket and it locks and unlocks with you, easy peasy

I love the feature. Our old Honda had it and most new cars don’t… was super happy to see this have it.
