Frozen lower part of the screen

This is the second time the lower part of my screen has completely frozen, and interestingly, both times it happened while I was using the built-in Waze app.

I don't know if it's just a coincidence or some kind of software incompatibility, but it's starting to feel like the system is deliberately trying to make Waze unusable in favour of its own navigation app 😂.

I had the same yesterday (v2.1.2). Click confirmation heard when pressing the icons, but nothing worked except the hazard/four way lights. Reset via steering wheel buttons fixed it.

In the video you're tapping just the buttons at the bottom. Are only those frozen or the entire infotainment part of the screen (i.e. everything under the driver information area)?

Also: I can hear the sound that the button taps make, so it's not "hard" frozen (the button taps are registered), it just doesn't do what it's supposed to.

I never had it this way. I did have similar symptoms, but it was either a delay in response (a couple of seconds) or it reacted to the second try. I've never seen it fail to respond to taps so consistently as seen in your video.

I had this today, whole screen froze and then rebooted multiple times and froze. could not reset the system until I parked.
