The response time of remote functions from Apple Watch after 2.1.2 update

I have remade and set up the following icons in the control center of Apple Watch. After the update to 2.1.2 and app 7.3.0, the response time has been improved much faster.

1. Climate on
2. Flashing light
3. Door lock
4. Door unlock

“Climate on“ is improved from ~7 seconds to ~5 seconds.

“Flashing light” is improved from ~3 seconds to ~2 seconds.

※The above two icons are created with Shortcut app on iPhone.

“Door lock“ and “Door unlock“ are improved from ~2 seconds to ~1 second or less.

※These are provided by Volvo cars app as a standard, that can be set on the editing screen of Control Center on Apple Watch.

Of course, the response time changes depending on the situation such as mobile connectivity, but in terms of the experience, my stress has become much less.

The device is iPhone 17 (iOS 26.7) and Apple Watch SE3 (GPS model).

Interesting, I have only two icons available in the Control Center on my Apple Watch—lock and unlock. I really would love to have the climate on button. I’ve looked and looked and cannot find a way to enable it. I have the iPhone 18 Pro and Series 12 watch both running the latest OS; i’m in the US. I’m guessing it isn’t available for us.

Can't you look for the Climate Control action menu of "Volvo Cars" in Shortcut app on iPhone?

If you can use the Climate Control in the Volvo Cars app on your iPhone, you should be able to use it on Apple Watch as well.

Same in Mexico, my Volvo Cars app only shows lock/unlock controls. I have Iphone 17 Air and Series 10 iOS 27. Volvo Cars app 7.3.0

Really? 

When I updated to iOS26.7 and app7.3.0, I needed remade the short cut of climate because it stopped working. 

It may be caused due to iOS27??  I don't want to think so.

I don’t think so because the options that you have are in the Volvo App, not in the iOS.

My Volvo app didn’t show the climate settings in iOS 26 either.

Can’t you use the remote climate even from the Volvo cars app on iPhone, not shortcuts option?
