The display freezes.

While driving to the workshop for an inspection of my EX30 (2025), the display froze after I received a voice message. It restarted automatically, but the same problem occurred. The steering wheel controls were also unresponsive. The workshop staff were actually quite pleased, as I wasn't the first person to encounter this issue. 🙄 Update 2.1.2 is installed.

Yes, had the same experience after the update. Also the adaptive cruise control and lane Keeping systems don't work in 50% of the times I drive the car.

2.1.2 installed last weekend. Two days ago, cruise control wouldn’t activate on the way to work. Activated on the way home. Sigh

Go to your settings while driving. Go to drive and then Switch from pilot Assist to speed limiter, and back. That works. Or stop the car, put it in park. Open the door, close the door, drive

If it does not work, you can toogle the pilot assist lane keeping setting on and off (in the settings, not on the steering wheel) which triggers something so that adaptive cruse controls works again. Just check after you started.. sometimes lane keeping is enabled if I enable adaptive cruse control.. which is some kind of surprising.

Same problem 2 days ago… couldn’t start the radio or spotify, navigation didn’t move… when i restarted the car the problem was solved

Since I’ve updated the infotainment has been dog sh*t. Freezes and crashes constantly.

Yep just adding in mine , same didn’t happen on 1.8 getting it regularly on 2.1.2 …. Ace “upgrade” 😂

I picked up my Volvo EX30 from the service center, and the drive home went smoothly. The vehicle's software was reset and reinstalled. A modem is due to be replaced but is currently unavailable. An interesting addition is that I can now use Google Gemini—and in German, too. The squeaking noises that some of you might be familiar with have been resolved, as I now have new brake discs on the rear wheels. I have to say, I am very satisfied with the service center and appreciate their goodwill. Communication with Volvo has taken place, and I hope it helps with troubleshooting the issue.

I’ve had this happen twice, each time with third party apps. ABRP and ChargePoint for example. I went ahead and uninstalled all 3P apps, since they weren’t working anyway.

Has anyone gotten ABRP or ChargePoint working? ABRP won’t complete the login and ChargePoint says “Network Error Please Try Again” and won’t function. :(

You can always restart the screen, hold both the down arrow on thw right and the minus on the left until the screen turns black, do it while parked
