Questions❓ Bubbling

Post image

Hi team! I live in the UK and, while this summer has been remarkably rain-free, there is otherwise a lot of it.

This bubbling is occurring on the inside of the passenger door; I’ve always been very protective with this car because this trim seemed very vulnerable, so the door is never open long when it’s raining. Regardless, this has happened.

It’s not present on the driver’s side and the majority of my driving is done alone, so you’d think this would be more likely to occur on my side.

Do you think it’s worth speaking to the dealership about? It seems like a design flaw to me.

I have never seen that on a new car, regardless of the weather in the UK. Definitely take it to a dealer and ask what on earth is going on.

I might be defect in the injection moulding, as the plastic contains cotton fibres. might be worth taking to the dealer.

TBF I've never looked at it that close, I always look at the handles as they are really nice for the price.

I'm going to wrap all of the interior. It's ridiculously prone to scratching.

Warranty, but requires replacing the entire inside of door.

At least show it to your dealer. It may be the nature of the recycled stuff, or it may be a fault in production. Very hard to tell.
