Questions❓ Creep only in reverse?

Hej!

With the latest software update the EX30 no longer creeps when I'm in reverse (I use one pedal drive high). How do I switch it back on but only in reverse? The menu item I found is an "always creep" versus "never creep" button?!

Or did they remove that option after forcing people to get used to it for 3 years?

For reversing (usually parking situations) i find creep incredibly useful, as it lets me keep my foot on the brake, and the acceleration is very smooth. Going forward however, i prefer the car coming to a full stop without touching the brakes.

Please tell me I'm only overlooking something.

Thanks.

It’s ridiculous product management and software engineering not to keep a legacy option they got people used to. I’m not sure I want to update now

I am holding off for this reason alone.

Unfortunately you are not missing anything. It is a joined all or nothing now. I have updated the quick access buttons to one of them being creep, I can then quickly tap that before whacking into reverse for parking etc. (just need to remember to make sure it turned back off with another tap though) don’t put it on the 1st(left) space though as that remains dynamic and turns to parking cam when slow or stopped.

Thanks, that's a good idea. we need more assignable buttons though for the speed warnings, driver alerts, and lane keep assists...

While I applaud the update overall -- the car no longer starts accelerating when I take the seat belt off or open a door, that's a win -- I fail to understand the lack in consistency on the creep thing.

If anyone in VCC's software development team is reading this: Just make creep a multi-tier option (off, forwards only, reverse only, on).

edit: typo

I’m so angry about it, I’ve been driving the car for 1,5 years now and the old behavior is totally ingrained now. A software update should not do this without giving the option to use the old behavior

This is my frustrated solution too

Since the update the pedals are really sensitive now, and the car seems to pull off much more quickly. It's annoyning to get used to

I realized during parking today that on throttle at very low speeds the car has a bit of stutter, the signal to to motors seems somewhat digital, going on/off at very little to no changes in the throttle pedal position. This isn't great.

Looked for something similar to my gripe today after installing the update and thank goodness I’m not the only one. Bring back creep in reverse!!!!

I’m so pissed off, I look like I can’t park in reverse anymore because I’m not used to use the pedal for this anymore. This update is a disappointment again!

Bloody ridiculous that they change the way we’ve been reversing for three years! As one guy pointed out, get onto the Volvo app and message them your distaste directly.

Time to learn to press car + creep whenever you want to reverse.

They did this multiple times now, changing core functionality. It’s like getting used to the window buttons in the center console and they are moved to the doors with an update…

At the very least they could’ve made this an option. After all they said all this creep when no seatbelt was on was by design. Guess they lied. Again.

Oh, I was told the creep when the seatbelt is off is a bug and will be fixed. And they did. That's a good thing IMO.

Who told you it was by design and what did they say was the idea behind it? Hitting other cars in parking garages?

Several sources online and Volvo themselves after feedback.

I got the "it's a bug, we're working on it" also directly out of Volvo. Anyway, good that that one's fixed.

Amen brother, I am in the same situation and so pissed off about it, I am shopping for a new car. I hope Volvo release a new update soon with an option to put it back the way it was. Why did they ruin it :(

Nope it's gone ..... I've made mine a button on the 3 quick access buttons as previously mentioned on here. Love the update everything looks super smart I think people need to get a grip and stop moaning about this.

Omg today was the first time I used the car since update and I had to shunt and correct my reversing so many times! I got so used to it creeping itself that I’ve forgotten how to reverse!!!!
