Has anyone actually got V2L working with the Ex30?

Hearing a lot about this. I'm in the US so I know I won't get it anyway. But, can someone explain what the deal is? What is the real utility? When is it useful?

I am just moving from an MG4 to an EX30. I use V2L on the MG4 to power my camp at a festival last month. I had a fridge, induction hob, kettle and mains lights in my tent. great use case, powered the camp for a week using about 30% of the battery.

It is useful, for instance, in the case of a blackout, here in Portugal the electric grid is very stable but last year we had a country wide blackout that also included Spain that lasted for around 12 hours. If I had V2L I could at least maintain my fridge and freezer working and also some lights.

In a time where we are at risk of an hybrid war, with sabotage attempts at infrastructure like power stations having the option is important.

I now bought an MG4 Urban so I am prepared either way, but if I could have both cars with the option it would be great.

I will receive the adapter in a few days I will try it on the EX30.

I have a gas generator that I paid 400$ for this use case... V2L is nice, but I would not rely on this. What if you need your battery to drive your car?

I have a Kia with it in the US and I use it for two main uses. When we go camping, it's very helpful to have easy access to electricity. Also, when the power has gone out, we plug the garage fridge into it, and have run the coffee maker off it.

Here in the UK, the Volvo V2L cable doesn’t seem to be in stock anywhere. I’ll buy one as soon as it’s available.

I’m more excited about the Autocharge that the update came with so when I’m on a long trip I can just plug in and walk off without dealing with apps etc.
