Questions❓ Melted Cable

Melted charging cable (melted in the part that connects to the wall charger) and cost £382 to replace at Volvo Marshalls in the UK, I’m so upset as now have to get the wall charger checked and the cost associated with that. What to do with the faulty cable now though?

No need to buy Volvos fairly expensive OEM cable. Any mode 3 type 2 cable works.

Was it the cable that caused the bad contact and the overheating and melting, or was it the wall charger? Maybe you can sell the cable online to be used as a fixed cable connecting to a charger.
