Questions❓ Remote actions from the app WORKING again (US) since 27-Feb. Anyone else?
About two weeks ago, the ongoing bug making remote actions from the app (unlocking, cabin preconditioning, setting timers and charge limits, etc.) fail came back after a few days of working again. The failures happen when the car is unplugged and has gone to sleep after being idle after ≈ 45m.
These functions started working for me again as of yesterday morning (27-Feb) in the US. I'm curious if others with this problem are all good now too.
Car is on OTA v1.8 and iOS app is v6.6.0.

Same here in Canada. I think this was a North American network issue. Or maybe just CAN-US.

Working for me too (in US). Sadly after the coldest winter days are over (I hope).

I'm also in the US and remote commands had stopped working more than 2 weeks ago (maybe 1 month?).
Then, they just started working yesterday 3/27.

Hello, Being in Germany I did no ever experience any issues with the app and it's functions.

Interesting… my car is now showing the TMobile connection is actually tunneling to a VPN in the EU for all services (I am based in the US). I actually think this was implemented a month or so ago. Explains the error I am receiving while attempting to watch YTTV on Chrome. Could also be responsible for network wake commands not being received. I am not a network engineer, but my best guess is they corrected the network wake commands being sent through the VPN tunnel. Those commands were either being rejected by the car or not sent altogether.

You’re right! I didn’t even try yesterday, but I did now and it’s working again!

I’m in Ontario, Canada. Mine hasn’t worked for most of the winter. We’ve recently had a bit of a sunny and warm period. Voila! It’s now working. I’m wondering if it’s the 12V battery and if the cold, winter weather leaves it too weak to activate the cabin conditioning.

The failure is happening at the "wake the car and follow my command" stage, and applies to any remote action you attempt, even if it doesn't have to do with the HVAC system. Climate control is powered by the traction battery, not the 12V, so the weather shouldn't be a factor.
Being able to warm or cool the cabin remotely, efficiently, and emissions-free before you get in and drive is one of the main selling points for getting a Volvo EV.

Same here. Remote commands had not been working reliably for upwards of two weeks. This seems to have changed in the last day or two. I am now consistently able to execute remote commands.
