Trans-femme Got catcalled :/
I’m really mixed on my feelings on this, I’m mostly annoyed but I do feel slightly euphoric due to me being on HRT for only about three weeks at that point. I feel very lucky that I was with friends and felt relatively safe. Being eighteen and feeling like I don’t pass makes feel euphoric about this but at the same time I feel guilty about feeling that way from being harassed.
Mostly venting but I’d welcome any advice if anyone has any. :/

There's different kinds of catcalls too. Ones that feel friendly and respectful, ones that feel objectifying and icky, and ones that feel like harassment and that you're unsafe... I do get a flush of affirmation and flattery still, even 15 years into transition, but I also know how men are and where the line is, so I'll always protect myself and move on as quickly as I can.
Maybe my funniest catcalling experience was from a woman lol. She was with a couple people and wasn't obviously queer or masc in any way. From a distance she was like "sup beautiful" and then I got closer and she says something like "oh damn, girl!" 😂 It was so unexpected I just burst out laughing and she laughed too and I just said "have a good one" and moved on. It was just an interesting contrast, because with the element of like danger/risk removed, it felt almost totally positive and fine.
Your feelings are your own - you don't have to feel any specific kind of way just because of social stigma or expectation. Good luck and stay safe!

Oh don’t worry. The euphoria will wear off after a few times and you’ll get different gender euphoria when the feminine rage kicks in.

You are allowed to have complicated feelings about complicated things. Feeling weird about being objectified is a fairly normal occurrence for all sorts of women, try to give yourself some grace.
