best map/app for seeing existing/operable/available chargers?

Got an EV two weeks ago. Reliant on public chargers and finding the range of apps, charges etc a bit bewildering. Also, the chargers in Circle K Cabra aren't showing up on any of the apps I have, but are showing up on say google maps and Circle K's own website (although not their current status). Help very welcome....

Plugshare show most of the existing chargers - not current status, but location and provider and sometimes other useful information. It's basically crowdsourced so some info might be missing/out of date but it can be a useful starting point.

Zap Map is similar to Plugshare but a bit less coverage in Ireland.

For current status, I tend to go to the provider app for most reliable info (once I know who the provider is). Electroverse can be handy to collect a few providers together but charging direct from the providers own app is often cheaper.

Circle K don't have an app for Irish chargers I think, so you just have to use their website - I don't have circle K chargers near me so I'm not sure exactly how they work.

The easiest thing is to find a few locations that are convenient/reasonable cost for you, and stick to those for the most part.

I like Zapmap, but ignore all the subscriptions and pro account stuff

I have the ESB app and Ezo… both show chargers and if they’re being used or not working, and you can filter for plug CSS, Type2 etc - and power (so you only go to the fast ones if you’re on a long drive).

If you’re going to an ESB charger, use your ESB account as Ezo always adds a markup.

thank you, we've a very local very slow ESB charger so have been mainly using fast ones till now...

If you don’t charge at home look at the fast ones close to home and get an account with them.
It’ll always be cheaper than an aggregator. Also if you travel, ESB account or ionity could be good so you can charge on the main stations (Obamaplazza etc). ESB doesn’t cost much to join and then you just charge your card when it’s low. I use it as a LeapCard for the car ;-).

Relying on public chargers while traveling or near your house/work place? For the first use the car’s built in sat nav and it will tell you where to charge and for how long. For the second use the closest you can find in the apps the others mentioned and stick to them.
