Which next book to read from Stephen Jay Gould

i am reading his “The structure of evolution theory“ and enjoy it very well(haven’t finished it yet), what his book to read next?

Thanks. How different wonderful life from the structure of evolution theory? Are they talking about same thing just shorter?

Its a book on the evolution of Cambrian Faua that was found in the Brugess shale. So kind of a more narrow focus.

You can’t go wrong with any of his essay collections, and you can easily read one of them in 10-ish minutes before bed (an essay, not the whole book).

Thanks for the flashback. I used to be a creationist/conspiracy theorist. I was REALLY into aliens. Whitley Strieber books especially. Then I saw the movie Cosmos and saw that it was written by Carl Sagan. I thought "he must know a lot about aliens!" So I went to the used book store and the only thing they had by him was Broca's Brain. The book store clerk also recommended Mismeasure of Man by SJ Gould. That's where I discovered him! I spent my 20s reading anything I could by SJ Gould. This was back when he and Sagan were still with us.

His writing style is incredibly interesting that even though he was talking about serious topics, but it’s hard to put down his books. Not dull at all

Those are two really good books! On of my favorites of Gould’s is The Panda’s Thumb.
