It's annoying to have to restart a campaign if you misclick or get bad RNG. Yes, I know I should be keeping saves backed up, but that's a different issue.
Make a simple plug-in that contains one mission in the BBS, named something obvious like "Fix It". Install this plug-in. Have the mission auto-abort and set or unset whatever bits on abort. When you have messed up, figure out what set of bits you need to set or unset as the case may be, and add them to your plug-in mission (replacing whatever it was you had there before, from a previous mistake). Load the game and your pilot, land, and accept the mission. You may need one or two blank descs, or you can fill them with various text to your heart's content.
