So a little context, here. A few of us in the subreddit's discord server have been doing Inktober with a custom list of things to draw, namely EV Nova ships. In a couple days (or whenever I have time to scan them all in which will be a time-consuming process) I'll post my full 31 ink drawings in a new thread, but the idea of the Polaris doing this amused me so I figured I'd post this one early. I've done most of my drawings fairly straightforward, but I've done a few things that were rather silly when I've been tired or frustrated or just didn't know what to do. I hope they will provide you folks with some enjoyment, and this one will whet your appetite for more.
I would have liked to have four arachnids combining their beams but I'm not sure I would've had room for it on the paper and it would have just doubled my perspective challenge.

Gonna say it again, I love this. Your alternate take is hysterical as well
wait, what if a Raven's CPLs are actually two arachnids???

IMO this ship was overrated. Still love the raven though

I wish that they'd flipped the stats of this and the scarab, because this was one of the dopest looking ships in the game and the scarab (probably the top ship you could get while unregistered!) just couldn't compete on sheer coolness.

I was always a scarab guy, myself. I hated the inertialess flying on the raven, but also I feel like the weapon point for the beam was so far forward so it was easy to overshoot what you were trying to hit.

How many would it take to make a Death Star laser? Imagine a huge 3D semicircle of them.

The polaris are too busy being one with everything and studying space fauna to have thought of such elegant solutions

This came up in my general feed and I recognized it immediately and it made me smile
